Box Office Results
Here are the Top 10 Movies
A four-legged animal was the champ at the box office. Marley and Me starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Anniston was number one at the box office. It’s one of the biggest Christmas openings of all time. I certainly didn’t expect this movie to be number one. This is probably a personal victory for Jennifer Anniston because her movie beat Brad Pitt’s movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. His movie came in third in the top 10. There’s also a Friend vs. Friend battle in the top 10. Jennifer also beat out her best friend and former Friends co-star Courteney Cox-Arquette. Her movie Bedtime Stories came in second to Marley and Me.
Tom Cruise’s movie Valkyrie also cracked the top 10. His movie debuted at number four. Is Tom Cruise’s career practically over? Five years ago, Tom wouldn’t have come in fourth to animals as well as an elderly man aging in reverse. Tom’s movie would have most likely been number one. Tom’s movie made over $20,000,000, but that’s practically nothing compared tow hat his movies used to make. I have a feeling the movie is going to lose money next week.
Here’s the top 10 movies for the week:
- Marley & Me - $37 million
- Bedtime Stories - $28.1 million
- The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button - $27 million
- Valkyrie - $21.5 million
- Yes Man - $16.4 million
- Seven Pounds - $13.4 million
- The Tale of Despereaux - $9.4 million
- The Day The Earth Stood Still - $7.9 million
- The Spirit - $6.5 million
- Doubt - $5.7 million

I’ll probably watch Marley and Me soon.
Jennifer Aniston looks great.
I will try and check this movie out too.
I went to see Marley and Me a few days ago with a friend and her eight year old daughter. Expected that the movie was more for children (the eight year old had picked it out) and was pleasantly surprised. This movie was not enjoyed by the eight year old and she laughed at us when we cried.
I’m suprise that Will Smith is at #6. I just thought he would have more hang time in the top 5
Thanks for letting me know about the movie, melissan. I thought the movie was more for kids too.
I was surprised that Will’s movie was 6 too, cmaher. I thought it would have done better than it did.
