Singer Fergie and actor Josh Duhamel got married this weekend.  They got married at the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu.  Fergie wore a Dolce and Gabanna gown and had 10 bridesmaids.  The bridesmaids were dressed in black.  It sounds like a funeral to me, but that’s just my opinion.

Fergie’s bouquet was white flowers studded with crystals.  That sounds lovely.  Fergie and Josh exchanged H-Stern rings engraved with personal messages.

The guests included her Black Eyed Peas bandmates, his Las Vegas co-stars Vanessa Marcil, James Caan, Molly Sims, Jerry O’Connell, Rebecca Romijn, Mario Lopez, Stacey Keibler, Kate Hudson, as well as other friends and family.

Fergie and Josh were together for a long time.  I hope this marriage works out for them.  I wish them all the luck in the world.  I hope they don’t turn out like other couples who are divorced after a year or two.

American Idol Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino has managed to save her home. According to TMZ, Fantasia apparently has figured out the new way in a bad economy — cut a desperate deal. The “Idol” winner was about to lose her $1.1 mil pad in North Carolina because of money problems — she owed $58,000 to Broward Energy Partners and the company had put the house on the auction block. She had borrowed the cash from the company to pay taxes. She struck a deal with the company and her home is safe — for now.

Is this what happens to you after you win American Idol?  You would be better off not winning if you’re going to possibly lose your home.  Look at her season 3 competitor Jennifer Hudson.  She didn’t win the show and she’s managed to become a bigger star than Fantasia.  I hope for Fantasia’s sake that this new deal she cut will save her home.  I would hate to think that she and her daughter would be homeless.  It seems like a lot of celebrities are facing foreclosures.  I guess they are feeling the affects of the bad economy too.  I guess Fantasia is going to have to get back in the recording studio and make more cds.  She’s going to have to do something in order to get the money to pay for her house.  I’m surprised that the people from American Idol aren’t helping her.  They must be done with the contestants once the season is over.  This doesn’t look good for American Idol either that a winner from the show is facing foreclosure.
