Patrick Swayze Beats Pneumonia

patrick-swayze.jpg

After battling pneumonia Patrick Swayze is doing better and is ready to get back to work promoting his new series.  He is starring in a series that comes on A & E called The Beast.

According to E! Online news, Swayze’s rep, Annett Wolf, announced the star’s improved condition to People Friday night, releasing this statement: “I am happy to announce that Patrick Swayze is home after a brief hospitalization for pneumonia.”

Patrick checked himself into the hospital last week with a persistent cough later diagnosed as pneumonia.  Since he is battling pancreatic cancer, this is dangerous for his lungs.

Patrick responded well to treatment, and remained positive telling People magazine, “I am alive and plan on continuing to stay that way.”

I am glad that he is doing better.  There were reports in tabloid magazines that he was on the verge of dying.  I’m so happy that he’s defying the odds and is continuing to do better.  He is a real inspiration to us all.

Well if he was hospitalized, it would have been severe pneumonia. Good to know he’s doing well.
