Kelly Rutherford’s divorce gets nasty

kelly-rutherford.jpg

As I mentioned in my Gossip Girl Star Gets Divorced article, Kelly Rutherford is getting a divorce.  It looks like it’s starting to get nasty.  Kelly’s estranged husband Daniel Giersch, wants to stop Kelly from taking their son, Hermes, to New York City where she films Gossip Girl.According to reports, Rutherford and Giersch have been having bad fights.  He has even tried to hit her.  He is a boxer and a kickboxer so she felt her life was in danger.

He has threatened to kidnap their son in order to teach Kelly a lesson.  He wants her to know what it’s like to have their son taken away from her the way she plans on taking him away from him.

Giersch has made claims that their son is stressed out because of Rutherford.  He believes that she can’t be a good mother because she’s working too long on the set of Gossip Girl.  She has denied the claims.

I feel sorry for Hermes and his soon-to-be-born sibling.  They are going to really go through a hard time because of Kelly and Daniel’s divorce.  Hopefully for the kids’ sake, they will find a way to come to an amicable agreement over the kids.

It is a shame that it is turning nasty and being aired in front of millions of spectators. It is the children that will suffer the other commenters are right. Oh thanks for the mention on your blog. All the best to you.

It’s always the kids that pay on these things. If things were that bad, then why did she get pregnant again?

    Dear Sis,
I really feel for her hon. I am trying to relax before I go to the hospital and catch up with your articles and what a powerful read it is and surely takes my mind of the hospital. Domestic violence is no laughing matter and I surely hope she does not end up hurt more or worse dead by the hands of her husband if he is not stopped. These type of men just don’t have a shut off valve and I am glad you wrote an article that is something I am very passionate about as you know: the ending of domestic violence. He needs to spend a lot of time in therapy, group classes before he should be near his wife and or another woman and she only sees him when there is someone there with her. It goes to show you that even money doesn’t have a class system when it comes to certain things like domestic violence. Great article and you always keep it interesting, real, honest and passionate. I am honoured to call you a friend and sis.
    Love Shelley.

It hurts to see innocent kids suffering due to the tension in parents relationship. If the news of domestic violence is true then the kids will obviously be better off with their mother.

The children are the first ones that come to my mind too, dania. They go through a lot when the parents get divorced.

I hope their children don’t suffer too, cindy. Now that the divorce has turned ugly, they probably will.

You’re right, micki. The children will be the ones who suffer the most. I enjoy reading your blog so I was happy to add it to my list of awards. :)

Thanks so much Shelley/sis. Your words really touched me. I agree with you about the therapy. Daniel G. needs to get therapy before he does something worse to Kelly. I’m afraid that their son and future child will end up needing it too.

I agree, arthi. The kids would be better off with Kelly. It will be matter of time before he does something worse.

I agree, celebgossiper. The last thing she should have done was get pregnant when she and her husband were having problems.
