Chris Brown turned himself in to the police
Singer Chris Brown turned himself in to the police this weekend for allegedly beating singer Rihanna. He was booked on suspicion of felony criminal threats against Rihanna. Since she allegedly had visible injuries, he could face up to nine years in prison. Rihanna was seen with bruises and bite marks. She also has contusions. Chris was taken to the Wilshire Division station in Los Angeles. The police wanted to question him about what happened. He was released on $50,000 bail, which he posted.
Chris and Rihanna were in a car together when they got into an argument. When Chris stopped the car, they got out and the argument turned violent. A witness called 9-1-1, but Chris was gone before the police showed up. Rihanna identified Chris Brown as her attacker.
Everything seemed okay with Chris and Rihanna when they were seen at Clive Davis’ Grammy party on Saturday. Chris and Rihanna were also scheduled to be at the Grammys. Rihanna was supposed to perform her hit single “Disturbia” on the Grammys. She was replaced by Al Green and Justin Timberlake at the last minute. Chris was supposed to sing his hit song “Forever” at the Grammys. His whereabouts during the Grammys were unknown. Chris’s label had no comment about the incident. Rihanna’s label said that she is doing well. I’m glad that she wasn’t hurt too badly. As a result of this altercation, Chris has lost his deal with Wrigley’s Doublemint Gum. They are going to stop showing his ads until this matter with Rihanna is resolved.
There’s word that Rihanna is not cooperating with the police. She doesn’t want to file charges against Chris. You would think that she would want to press charges against him for battery. I’m surprised that she wouldn’t want him to be punished. It makes me wonder if she might have had something to do with his outburst. I’ve seen pictures of them before the incident and she appeared happy in them. He, on the other hand, looked angry. I can only imagine what could have possibly resulted in him beating her. I hope this wasn’t a publicity stunt to get attention. He could face serious charges for this so I hope it’s not just a way for the two of them to get their names in the papers. They already get enough publicity as it is. I can’t tell you how much this news surprised me. I guess you never really know people just because they are in the public eye.

any publicity is publicity after all for the celebrities..I hope this is not just another disgusting publicity plan..Otherwise Rihanna really should co-operate with the police..
Agreed, they had a problem! But it is unprofessional to turn down a place where you were supposed to be at the last minute.
