Look Slimmer Without Dieting

dark-clothes.jpg

Believe it or not, there are ways to look as if you lost weight without dieting or exercising.  It’s all about the clothes you wear.  If you pick the right clothes, you can look slimmer.  I like the idea of looking smaller without having to diet and exercise.  I must stress that it is important to diet and exercise, but there’s nothing wrong with looking smaller when you are trying to lose weight.  If there are ways too look slimmer, it’s worth a try.  With that said, I found some ways to look slimmer.

Stick to one color
Darker colors help you appear slimmer.  I always wear dark colors so that wouldn’t be a problem for me.  Black and dark blue are particular favorites of mine.

Ban baggy clothes
Wearing fitted clothes actually makes you look thinner than wearing baggy clothes.  I was under the impression that baggy clothes made you look thinner.  I didn’t realize that fitted clothes are what made you look smaller.

Pick vibrant accessories
Wear bright accessories to liven up your look.  If it’s bright enough, maybe people will focus on your accessory and not your outfit.

Choose the right belt
You should wear a thinner, more proportioned belt over blouses.  Wider belts make your hips look bigger.  The last thing you would want to do is make your hips look bigger if the goal is to appear smaller.  I know it’s the last thing I would want.

Hopefully these tips will help you all look slimmer when you want to appear as if you’ve lost weight.  Since the tips don’t cost anything, why not give them a try.  I know I will.  Every little bit helps.

Great tips! I like darker colors too, I think it is because I have a darker complexion (Italian decent). I will have to try the rest of those tips!

Thanks I needed this information as weight is certainly something that bothers me a lot. My problem is that I love sweet things too much. I know I need to diet it is just really difficult. I never used to be this big when I was younger but, I am now and I hate it.

Great tips Mily! Sticky to different shades of the same color will help too. I think they call it being monochromatic. I do that a lot when I’m wearing a lighter shade of blue.
Dark Blue jacket but a few tones lighter for the shirt and pants.

Great tips Mily. Wearing baggy clothes definitely makes you look bigger. I’m not a fan of belts tho because I’m afraid that it will focus on the part that I least want attention. Hehehe
