 Johnny Depp Up For New Role
Johnny Depp, movie star and former star of 21 Jump Street, is possibly up for a new role.  Sid and Marty Krofft are interested in getting Johnny Depp to play Witchiepoo in a new movie.  The movie will be an updated version of their series H.R. Pufnstuf.  It’s slated to be in movie theaters in 2011.  Billie Hayes, the actress from the original series, thinks Johnny would be perfect for the role.  She thinks Johnny is “off-the-wall and has experience in wearing wild makeup”. 

What’s interesting about this is that Johnny might be playing a woman. I’m not sure if the character is going to change into a man or if he’s playing a woman in the movie. If he is, he has experience in dressing as a woman.  He dressed as a woman for an episode of 21 Jump Street. He looked pretty good dressed up as a woman. LOL!  I’m not familiar with the series, but I’m sure that Johnny will do a great job because he is a really good actor. 

90210 Star Out!
There’s casting news on 90210.  Dustin Milligan (Ethan) has been released from the show.  The powers that be have decided to write him out after the season is over.  He was let go after completing the finale in March.  The writers tried to do different things with his character, but they didn’t work.  One of the things was trying to pair him with Silver while she was dating Dixon.  To add insult to injury for him, his departure is not even going to be addressed on the show.  He is probably just going to disappear without anyone even noticing it.  Dustin is hoping that the writers will give him a proper sendoff in Season two.  I had a feeling that his days were numbered since he wasn’t getting much to do on the show after he and Naomi broke up. He also didn’t get much to do when he was paired up with Annie.  Their relationship didn’t last long on the show. That’s not a good sign since she is one of the lead characters on the show.

Former Desperate Housewives Characters To Return
There are two characters returning to Desperate Housewives.  One is a major character from the first two seasons.  The character will return in the last five minutes of the season finale on May 17^th.  Marc Cherry is keeping the identity hush hush.  I wonder if it’s John (the gardener) or Zack (Mike’s son).  They were both on for the first two seasons. The kids have been aged so it can’t be any of them.  I doubt it will be the Applewhites since they haven’t been mentioned since they moved from Wisteria Lane.

The other character returning to Desperate Housewives is Julie (Andrea Bowen) who is Susan’s daughter.  She will be needed for her mother after what Dave is going to be doing to her.  I think he might end up hurting her son and Julie will probably come back to comfort her.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick Baby News
It turns out the Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker and her hubby actor Matthew Broderick are going to have twins.  They are using a surrogate mother to carry their twins.  They are expecting twins girls later this summer.   I wonder if this is an attempt to quiet the rumors of their marriage being in trouble.  It wasn’t too long ago that there were rumors spreading that they were getting a divorce and now they are adding on to their family.  I wish them luck with their new additions to their family. Since I am a twin, I love it when other couples have twins. 

Dancing With The Stars Is Down To Five Couples
Dancing With The Stars contestant Chuck Wicks (with his partner Julianne Hough) were the latest casualties. They were eliminated from the competition last night. Chuck and Melissa were the last two remaining contestants when the bomb was dropped on Chuck.   I knew that Melissa wasn’t going anywhere when it was down to the two of them making it to the top five.  Melissa was injured and couldn’t perform on Monday so the judges had to base their opinions on her rehearsal dance.  They didn’t really like it and she ended up scoring 21 points.  They pretty much liked Chuck, and he scored 26 points, but he was still eliminated.  I have a feeling that ABC rigged it for Melissa to stay in the competition.  It’s not likely that she got more votes than Chuck when she scored less than he did. I know votes count for half of your score, but he had FIVE points higher than she and he still ended up leaving anyway.  Obviously, ABC will do anything that they can to make sure she stays in the competition. Why is she being rewarded like this? Is it just because she was dumped on ABC television and they are trying to reward her for it? JMO 

Sean Penn & Robin Wright’s marital problems
After they’ve tried to work things out a year ago, Sean Penn is getting a separation from Robin Wright. Last time, Robin was the one who wanted to get a divorce and now he is the one who is filing for a separation.  The couple met in 1990 while they were filming a movie together. They have been married for about 13 years and they have two children Dylan and Hopper.  I wonder what happened to make Sean decide to file for separation.  There were rumors of his infidelity not too long ago.  I’m not sure if I completely believe this story or not since rumors have been flying about their possible divorce since 2007.  How many times are they going to keep filing for separation before they finally get a divorce?  This must be doing damage to their children since they are probably getting their hopes up that they are going to stay together only to find out that their parents are possibly getting a divorce after all. 

Harper’s Island New Day & Time
For those of you who watch the CBS mystery Harper’s Island, the day and time have changed.  It came on Thursdays at 10 p.m., but now it will be airing on Saturdays at 9 p.m.  I watch the show and I hope that this isn’t a bad sign for the show since it was moved to the graveyard.  There aren’t too many shows that air on Saturdays for a reason.  Most people don’t watch them.

 This top celebrity makes a big deal out of talking about motherhood and how much time she spends being a good mom. She would lead you to believe that she dotes on her children and takes an active role in their lives. Not so. When the kid/s were little, she only changed about one out of every hundred diapers. The kid/s are being raised by a small army of nannies. Our star has limited contact with them except during photo opportunities, which are always staged with her carrying the child/ren, even if they are big enough to walk on their own. Why? Because she thinks that carrying a child makes her look motherly and “likable”. 

I think this blind item might be Angelina Jolie or Madonna.  They are both seen in pictures with their children. They’re both considered top celebrities.  In Angelina’s case, she is considered a great mother because she adopted so many children.  I’ve read that she has nannies for her children even though in pictures she is always seen with her children.  Madonna is my second choice because she is also photographed with her children when she most likely has nannies too.   

This 80’s Heartthrob is finding out the hard way you should never abandon your kids. When they grow up they come back to haunt you and make you look like a fool!

I think this might be R&B singer Al B. Sure!.  His son recently wrote an open letter talking about how Al abandoned him when he was a kid and he was a rotten father to him. Al’s son credits P. Diddy as being his father.  Al was also an R&B star in the 80s so he fits. If it’s not him, then maybe it’s someone from New Kids On the Block or New Edition.  They were considered 80s heartthrobs too.

This B list television and movie actor is more famous for his current television role, than any movie in which he has appeared. Filming of his show is delayed by hours everyday, because our actor refuses or is unwilling to learn his lines each day and therefore necessitates take after take after take for him to finish his scenes.

 I could be wrong about this, but I think this one could be Simon Baker from The Mentalist.  He has been in television and in movies. His TV show is probably more successful than his movies were.  Since this one is a little vague, I will guess Simon.  He is the only one I can think of who’s done TV and movies and who is known more for his television show than for his movies.

 I think this might be Will Smith and Jada Pinkett – Smith or Robin Thicke and Paula Patton.  I’ve read rumors that Will and Jada have an open marriage even though she’s denied it.  There are also rumors that she is bisexual so they fit the blind item.  Since the hints make reference to the race of the couple, it might mean that this is an interracial couple. That lead me to think that the blind item could be Robin Thicke and Paula Patton.  I’m sure that there are others that could fit this blind item, but I can’t think of them right now.

This man is the patriarch of a successful entertainment dynasty. Few people know that his sister has been the mistress to a record company mogul for the last 30 years. She’s been his mistress through numerous marriages and he’s taken care of her for all of these years. He’s paid off her home, paid for her plastic surgery, credit card bills and he’s bought her numerous expensive cars. Yet, he never thought enough of her to ever marry her and she stuck it out with him, regardless. Who is the patriarch? Who is the mogul?  

This one might be an easy one. There aren’t too many patriarchs of successful dynasties around.  With that said, this is probably Joe Jackson of the famous Jackson family.  I think the music mogul is Berry Gordy founder of Motown Records.  There aren’t too many famous families in music so that makes Joe stand out to me.  Since Joe Jackson’s sons were at Berry’s label, that makes Berry Gordy stand out.  Since the affair was carrying on 30 years that would mean it started in the 70s. Motown was really popular in the 70s and it was run by Berry Gordy.

Leighton Meester Get Record Deal
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) (23) has just a record deal with Universal Republic through Time-Act Music.  She is going to be releasing a CD in the fall.  She plans to work with producers Polow Da Don, Harvey Mason Jr., and Spencer Nezey.  Her CD is going to have an electro-pop edge to it.

Leighton is one more actress who got bit by the song bug.  I’ve never heard her sing before so I don’t know if she’s any good at it.  Since she’s doing music that I am not too familiar with, I probably won’t be buying her CD.  It’s going to be really hard for her to be taken seriously as a singer since she is known for acting.  Hopefully people will be able to get past Blair Waldorf and still be able to enjoy her music.  There aren’t too many successful actors-turned singers so hopefully she won’t be one of them.

Gospel Star Timothy Wright News
Gospel start Timothy Wright (61) has died.  He died last Thursday from complications following an accident that he was in last July.  His wife and grandson were killed in the accident back in July.  Timothy never fully recovered from the critical injuries he suffered after the accident.  My heart goes out to his family after losing so many members so close together.

Jay Leno Hospitalized
The Tonight Show host Jay Leno (58) was hospitalized on Thursday.  There’s no word on what caused his injuries. He had to cancel a taping because he had to be taken to the hospital.  His rep said that there is nothing seriously wrong with him. I hope that’s true and that he’s okay.

This celebrity husband is a man of leisure.  He contributes absolutely nothing to the household he shares with his famous wife. Unbeknownst to her, while she was away working and bringing in much needed money to maintain their standard of living and lifestyle, her hubby was sleeping with her younger sister. The sister would even wear her lingerie before joining hubby in bed. The public was unaware she had a brief separation from her husband due to this indiscretion, it didn’t make headlines but she eventually took him back. But, she’s not talking to her sister, she considers her invisible yet she had no problem forgiving her husband when he lied and told her, “your sister is at fault, she seduced me.” The wife needs to cut her losses and dump him like she did her sister. They don’t deserve to be in her life.  Who is she?

I have a couple of suspects for this blind item.  At first, I thought this was Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon since he is a “celebrity husband” and she is the bigger name, then I read that the celebrity’s younger sister was sleeping with the husband so that ruled them out.  Mariah is the youngest of her siblings so I eliminated her. 

I think that this might be Toni Braxton and her husband Former Mint Condition member Keri Lewis.  She has a lot of younger sisters for him to choose.  She’s also the bigger star between them.  He hasn’t really been doing that much since he left Mint Condition so that leaves him plenty of time to hook up with one of her sisters.

If this is not Toni, then I suspect Mary J. Blige and her husband Kendu. There are rumors floating that their marriage is in trouble. The only problem is that she has an older sister and not a younger sister. Mary is on the outs with her sister so this could be why.  I don’t suspect her as much as I do Toni, but she is high up on the suspect list.

This funny actor wasn’t kidding when he copped a total diva attitude on the set of a recent movie. While every other actor would walk from their trailer to the set, Diva Boy insisted on taking a golf cart. The set was an entire thirty feet from his trailer.

My main suspect for this blind item is Adam Sandler. I think the fact that he takes a golf cart to his trailer might be a clue.  He was in a movie about golf and that might be a hint.  He’s also filming another movie and he’s famous enough to pull a diva attitude on a set.

 This show had a good run with the teen crowd while it was on the air, and it produced more than one popular star. One of the handsome leads literally charmed the pants off nearly all female members of the cast.  One guest star was so smitten that she actually took off her lacy bottoms under the sheets with him while cameras were rolling for the scene. The TV censors had no idea they were practically showing porn in primetime. Hint: The actor now stars in another TV series.

I think this is Benjamin Mackenzie from The O.C.  The O.C. was a teen drama and it’s no longer on the air.  According to the hint, the actor is on another series and Benjamin is starring on NBC’s Southland.  I read that he and Mischa Barton dated while they were on the show together so she could be one of the females that he charmed the pants off of while the show was on the air.

Julia Roberts was beat at the box office by the apocalypse.  Knowing starring Nicholas Cage debuted at number one at the box office making over $24 million.  Knowing is about an astrophysics professor who figures out how to predict monumental catastrophes.  I wanted to give a little backdrop about the movie in case you were like me and never heard of it.  I didn’t even know the movie was out until last night.  I thought Julia Roberts’ movie Duplicity would have come in at number one since she was practically all over promoting the movie.  The movie came in at number three making over $14 million.  I guess a lot of promotion didn’t necessarily help the movie make any money since it didn’t debut at number one. 

Another new release was I Love You, Man starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel.  It’s a buddy comedy.  It came in at number two with $18 million.  I was surprised that this even beat Julia’s movie.  I figured that this one would have come in at number 3 or 4.  I didn’t expect it to debut at number 2. 

Last week’s number one movie Race To Witch Mountain slipped to number four with $13 million.  Last week, I made a prediction about where this movie would end up.  I figured it wouldn’t be number one for very long and I was right.  It managed to go from one to four.  I will make another prediction about Knowing.  I don’t think it will hold up the top spot for long. If it does remain number one, I predict that the numbers will drop at least by 40% or more.

Taken, Slumdog Millionaire, Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes To Jail, and Coraline are still holding on in the top 10.  Watchmen and The Last House On The Left are also still holding on in the top 10.  I have a feeling that some of these that are still in the top 10 will not be there next week.

Actor Bruce Willis (54) married his girlfriend British model Emma Heming (32) this weekend. They got married at his home in the Caribbean.  They met through friends and they were dating since last year.  I didn’t realize he was dating someone that long. He managed to keep a low profile with Emma.  He was completely different from his ex-wife Demi Moore. She and Ashton Kutcher were pretty much everywhere when they were dating.  Maybe Bruce didn’t want the media to affect his relationship with Emma.

The couple will have another ceremony when they get back to California.  Bruce’s ex-wife Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher were at the wedding.  Bruce and Demi’s kids (Rumer 20, Scout 17, and Tallulah 15) were also at the wedding. That’s really good that Bruce and Demi are friendly enough that they could attend each other’s weddings.  I think he went to her wedding too.  More divorced Hollywood couples need to be like that.  They wanted to keep their relationship friendly for the sake of their children.  I like how they wanted to put their children first.  When you think of couples like Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger and Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards fighting over their children, it’s a nice change to see that Bruce and Demi were able to get past their problems and stay friends for their children.

Bruce’s previous marriage was to Demi.  They were married for 13 years and were divorced in 2000.  They have remained friends ever since.  I’m not sure if this is Emma’s first marriage or not.

I hope that they have a great life together.  There are so many couples that don’t stay together for very long and hopefully they won’t be added to the list.

I wanted to do a story on a lighter note from the Natasha Richardson story.  It’s not good for the parties involved though, but it’s not as tragic.

I just found out about a shocking rumor.  I read that LeAnn Rimes is possibly having an affair with her co-star Eddie Cibrian.  They were in the TV Movie Nora Roberts’ Northern Lights.  It just aired this past weekend.  According to the rumors, they got really close on the set of the movie.  The director of the movie, Mike Robe, saw them getting close during the filming of the movie. They were allegedly seen together at the Malibu Beach Inn on March 14^th.  LeAnn has denied that she is having an affair with Eddie Cibrian.  She dismissed the rumors.  Eddie hasn’t made any comments one way or the other about the rumors. 

The problem with the fact that they might have had an affair is that they are both married.  LeAnn married Dean Sheremet, a backup dancer when she was 19.  She’s been married to him for seven years. LeAnn and her husband don’t have any kids. Eddie married Brandi Glanville, a model in 2001.  They have two children who are 5 and 1.  If this is true, maybe LeAnn was feeling the seven-year itch and that could explain why she could have possibly had an affair.

If this is true, I am truly shocked.  I remember when LeAnn first started singing as a teenager.  I wasn’t a big fan of her music, but I was aware of who she was.  I heard a couple of her songs.  I never would have thought she would have been involved in a scandal like this.  For some reason, I’m not as surprised by Eddie’s involvement in this rumor.  There were rumors about him possibly cheating on girlfriend that he had in the past. 

This wouldn’t be the first time that a couple would have had an affair offscreen.  Anne Heche had an affair with her Men On Trees co-star.  Tori Spelling also had an affair with her husband while they were filming a movie together.  We all know the story between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.  They were rumored to have had an affair while they were filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

As you all may already know, actress Natasha Richardson (45) has passed away after injuries she suffered after her skiing accident.  It was only yesterday when I reported this when the family was deciding whether to take her off of life support.  The family took her off of life support at around 1:30 pm yesterday and she died at around 8 pm last night.  I was still trying to hold out hope that she might have pulled through until I heard on the radio that she was taken off life support.  I figured it was only a matter of time before she would pass away. 

An autopsy was performed on Natasha.  The medical examiner said that the actress died of epidural hematoma because of the blow to her head.  As I reported yesterday, she had leakage on her brain and skull which lead to her being brain dead. 

She was best known for her roles in The Parent Trap and Maid in Manhattan.  She was also a Tony-winning actress.  I just saw The Parent Trap a couple of weeks ago and I never imagined that this would happen to her. I also just bought Maid in Manhattan on DVD and again, I didn’t think that this would happen. 

I really feel bad for her family.  They must really feel devastated by this loss because it was one that no one saw coming.  She was a healthy woman before this happened to her. She was also really young when she died.  It’s strange to know that one minute she was here and the next she was gone.  I hope that her family and friends will be okay.  As long as they have each other, they may be able to get through the loss. I’m sure this is no comfort right now, but thankfully she won’t be suffering anymore.  If she woke up from the coma, she may have ended up in a vegetative state and she may not have wanted to live like that.   I hope that this tragedy will bring more awareness to how important it is to be careful when you are skiing. The instructors should have stressed that she wore a helmet while she was skiing.  She was a first-time skier after all so the instructor should have made sure that she was wearing her helmet.  This horrible incident might have been prevented if they had made sure that she was wearing a helmet at the time.  I hope that no one else has to lose their lives this way. It’s a horrible way to die. 

My heart goes out to her family and friends.  Natasha is survived by her husband, two sons, her mother, as well as other relatives.

As I reported in my blog yesterday, Natasha Richardson suffered a serious head injury in a skiing accident.  Well unfortunately, she has taken a turn for the worse.  She had to be rushed to a New York hospital because she was suffering from pains in her head.  She was fine when the incident first happened, but she ended up suffering from pain.  Now it looks like things are worse than originally reported.  Natasha reportedly has leakage on her brain and skull.

A family friend has said that there isn’t much hope that she will get better.  She is basically brain dead right now.  Her heart is beating, but her brain is dead.  The family may end up having to make a horrible decision about her.  Unfortunately, that must mean that she is hooked up to a machine and is only surviving because of it.  The family is still continuing to pray for her to get better.

I feel so bad for Natasha and her family. This must be a really horrible time for them.  She is a mother of young kids and they are possibly about to lose their mother.  It breaks my heart to think that they may lose their mother like this.  She had something to look forward to doing.  She was about to do a play with her mother actress Vanessa Redgrave and now she is in the fight of her life.  I can only imagine how her husband actor Liam Neeson is handling this too. He just had a successful movie Taken and now he has to deal with this. It’s sad to think that a celebrity couple who appeared happy together now has to deal with something like this. 

I will continue to pray that she will get better.  There may still be hope for her as long the family doesn’t give up on her.  I have a cousin who just had a stroke and he slipped into a coma.  He was on a machine and he was told that he only had three days to live.  He miraculously woke up and he is getting better.  Maybe the same thing could happen for Natasha.
